A group of concerned citizens of San Juan County, New Mexico, met in June 1988, for the purpose of planning a strategy to insure the history of this county would be preserved for future generations. That discussion resulted in the establishment of the San Juan County Historical Society.

The Historical Society will be having the Annual Meeting at the Farmington Civic Center at 6:00 pm.  The membership will receive the annual reports and elect 4 new board members and approve board officers.

The program will be given by Larry Baker of Salmon Ruins.
